Experience one of the greatest hunting adventures in North America! Take in the unspoiled beauty of the wilderness as you go on a backpack expedition to hunt Kodiak Brown Bear!

What to expect

Backpacking from lightweight spike camps allows the hunter access to unspoiled areas and maximizes hunting time. This is the ultimate in spot-and-stalk hunt and hunters have taken several stalks per hunt. Most bears taken on this hunt will be 9+ feet with some 10 footers!

Spike Camps with food and sleeping bags – Base camp – Artic Oven tents.

April 15th – May 5th

Fall Hunts
October 25th – November 5th

hunt includes

Professional guide service, accommodations (base camp, Arctic Oven tents), all meals and beverages, use of equipment, transportation in the field, trophy field preparation, transport trophy for official sealing, and taxidermy services in Kodiak. 

travel

Arrival/departure point is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska, where you will be met at the airport. We suggest you arrive 1-2 days prior to your hunt commencing to purchase your Alaska hunting license, Brown/Grizzly Bear Tag, & registration permit. We also recommend 1-2 days after in Anchorage for taxidermy trophy care.
